Where
to Get Your Information and Advice
If
you want to discuss your health insurance
needs with someone, you have several options.
You could just put your name and contact information
in a "Request for Quote" website
such as www.Vimo.com.
They will sell your information, and in a
matter of hours you will have several insurance
agents calling you, telling you why their
plan is the best one. Because the insurance
business is easy to get into, many of these
salespeople may have been selling used cars
or vacuum cleaners last week. They may
sell you a policy today, but when you call
them in 6 months about a claim issue, all
you may find is a disconnected number.
Another
option is to open the yellow pages, and call
your friendly neighborhood agent. This
person probably sells life insurance, auto
insurance, home owner's insurance, and a little
health insurance on the side. They may
only have one or two plans to offer you, and
they probably only have a cursory understanding
of HSAs. When your rates start going
up in a year or two, all they can do is shrug
their shoulders and say "sorry".
Your
BEST option, though, is speak with one of
HSA for Americas
Personal Advisors. We will provide
true expert analysis on numerous available
insurance plans in your area, and informed
and unbiased advice on the best options for
you. You will also receive exceptional follow-up
service from you Personal Advisor for as long
as you remain a customer.

How
an HSA
for America consultation
saves you time and money
HSA
for America has been specializing in HSA
plans since they first became available in January 2004, and
we have enrolled thousands of families and individuals from
over 33 different states. We have been featured in the
LA Times, talked about on the Rush Limbaugh show, and are
recommended by CPAs and business advisors all over the country.
Yet
we are a very small company, dedicated to superior customer
service. We have personally helped more individuals
and families enroll in HSA plans than just about anyone.
We know HSAs, and we know the plans in detail. We know
which ones offer chiropractic coverage, which ones have the
best PPO networks, which ones tend to have the most stable
rates, and all other pertinent details. And we know
how to save our customers time and money. Here's how:
- Experience.
The insurance business is easy to get into. Thousands
of people every year move from used car sales or pest
control sales into health insurance sales, hoping it will
bring them the big bucks. And typically they're
off to something else a year later. Very few people
have years of experience, and focus their daily attention
on HSA-qualified health insurance. Here's why you
should care:
| |
-
You'll
understand what your getting, because we know
what we're offering. It is not at all
uncommon for an insurance agent to not fully understand
what he or she is selling you. This is what
happened to Jan and David Cleary, from Colorado
Springs, CO. They had purchased a plan from
a friend who had gotten into the health insurance
business, and thought it paid 100% after a $2,000
deductible. After David suffered a fairly
serious injury falling off a ladder, they learned
that no coverage was included for any outpatient
charges. His outpatient testing, medications,
and physical therapy cost him a total $14,343
out of his own pocket.
-
You'll
get unbiased information about the plans that
will be best for you. While some agents
feel financial pressure to sell a plan that will
get them the quickest or most money, our business
model is based on keeping you as a happy and referring
customer for a long time.
-
You
can reach your Personal Advisor directly when
you have questions.
Many insurance agents may be there to sell you
a policy, but can be very difficult to find when
you need help with a claim. But here youll
have a personal contact - someone on your side
who can explain how the claim is being paid and
help you appeal any unfavorable decisions. This
can save you thousands of dollars when a large
claim occurs.
Our
consultants have years of experience in the health
insurance business, and know how to save you money
and find the best plan for your needs. Because
our business is not based on selling you a policy,
but rather on gaining you as a lifetime customer,
we're able to offer unbiased information and advice
so that you end up with the best plan for you.
According to feedback we get, our customers are
saving an average of $1,814 the first year they have
coverage with us, and more as the years go by.

Retired
Electrician saving $385/ month
over next-best option
Kenneth
Haeussler, a retired electrician from
New Bern, North Carolina, contacted
us about switching to an HSA plan.
When he called us he had a Blue Cross
Blue Shield of North Carolina plan,
with a $20 co-pay, but was paying over
$900 a month. Before calling us,
the best he had found was an HSA plan
with an $8,000 deductible for $735 a
month.
This
would have saved him about $2,000 in
premiums, and another $2,000 or so in
income taxes. Because of the large number
of plans we offer, we were able to find
him similar coverage for less than $350.
We also helped him find a bank that
offered a no-fee HSA, which he plans
to fully fund. His net cost after including
his tax savings to cover him and his
wife is less than $250.
|
|
|
- Many
companies to choose from. If you've looked
at the instant quotes,
you've no doubt seen the large number of plans we offer,
with quite a wide price range. By going with a company
that offers many different insurance companies, you can
be sure of getting the best value now, and having options
to choose from if your rates go up and you need to change
plans.
Even
a look at just 100% plans will often provide a dizzying
number of choices, some dramatically more or less expensive
than others. Sometimes the least expensive plan is
your best choice - but not always. Some plans have
limitations on outpatient doctors and prescription drugs.
Others may not have your doctors in their network.
We'll help you sort through the confusion, so that you end
up with the best plan for you.
If you
buy from an agent who represents only one or two companies,
two negative consequences may occur: First, you may
end up with the wrong plan, paying too much money for something
that's not the best value available. Secondly, when
you get a rate increase and want to change companies, you'll
have to start shopping all over again.
By
having this many options, we can often save our clients
$100 per month or more over almost identical but more expensive
plans through other insurance companies.
|
|
$100
maximum Out-of-pocket for Accidents
We
will also help you figure out the best way
to structure your plan. For example,
we were able to save Roger Baird of Austin,
TX an additional $86 per month, and reduce
his out-of-pocket for any accident to only
$100. We did this by raising his deductible
from $4,000 to $5,000, and adding a $5,000
accident rider. In helping you put together
a plan, our focus is on how we can provide
you the most coverage and best value for your
money.
|
|
- Help
getting your policy issued without exclusions or rate-ups.
Insurance companies do everything they can to avoid risk.
If they see something in your medical history that raises
a red flag, they are likely to issue your policy with
an exclusion not covering that condition, or a "rate-up",
in which your premium is raised 25% to 100% or more.
Unfortunately,
there are times that nothing can be done about that.
But often times, the insurance company is willing to reconsider
these exclusions if they can be convinced that they are
not taking on additional risk. Because after the
sale, most insurance agents are on to the next sale, few
take the time or have the expertise needed to properly
appeal negative underwriting decisions. As a result
you could end up with a policy that permanently
excludes part of your body that is perfectly healthy,
or you could be forced to pay hundreds of dollars more
each year for your health insurance.
If
you have had some health issues in the past, your Personal
Advisor can help you honestly answer the questions on
your application in the way that will be most favorable
to you when it goes through the approval process.
When policies do come back with unexpected exclusions,
we are able to get the waivers removed from our clients
policies about 50% of the times we appeal. When we get
a rate-up removed from a policy, we've been able to save
our clients an average of $78 per month.
-
An
annual review of your needs.
You can count on health insurance rates going up every
year. If your agent is not doing a complete review
of available plans in your area on a regular basis, you
will end up paying too much for your health insurance.
But because the agent is still getting paid on the original
policy you purchased, most have very little incentive
to take the time and effort to do what's right for the
customer.
Every
year we offer to do our Annual Comprehensive Policy
Review, in which we review available plans and make
our recommendations about whether you should consider
switching to a different plan or insurance company.
We also keep you informed about changes in HSA contribution
limits, health insurance premiums, or other issues that
might affect your money or your health. There is
no fee for this service. This will save you thousands
of dollars over the coming years.
By
regularly reviewing their plans and switching them to
better options when they become available, we have a track
record of saving our clients an average of $528 each year
after their first year of coverage.

Annual
Comprehensive Policy Review Saves CPA $2,710
Candace
De Long, a CPA from Fort Collins, CO, has
been a client of ours for just over a year,
paying $408.10 for a traditional co-payment
plan with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
During our Annual Comprehensive Policy
Review, Candace reported that she was
not utilizing her coverage, and would be better
served by a plan with a lower premium.
After
a comprehensive review of all the plans on
the market, we identified an HSA-qualified
plan, also offered by Blue Cross, for just
$240.30 per month, lowering Candace's premium
by 41%. After funding her account (at
a 28% tax bracket), Candace's net premium
was now just $181.97, a whopping 56% savings
over her previous premium.
Though
we would have been paid a higher commission
by switching her to a different company, it
was best in this case for Candace to stay
with her current company and simply switch
to an HSA plan. By looking out for our
customers best interests, were
able to help them save money and to keep them
as customers for life.
|
|
By
establishing an HSA plan our clients typically save $3,000
or more each year on their health insurance premiums, and
up to $1,500 or more each year in income taxes. This
amounts to nearly $400 per month in savings. As a bonus,
if you stay healthy the tax-deferred growth of your account
could eventually amount to several hundred thousand dollars.
We're talking real money here, and you owe it to yourself
to deal with a true professional who is looking out for your
best interest. You can set up a time to speak with one
of our friendly advisors by calling our office at 866-749-2039,
or filling out our Consultation
Request form.

Colorado
couple now saving $4,500 per year in premiums
and taxes
While
her husband's job provides him with excellent
coverage through a Cigna group plan, Rosemary
and Billy Wright of Parker, CO, like many
others, found it increasingly difficult each
year to keep up with the rising cost of their
group health insurance plan. While Billy's
company pays for his coverage, the cost of
keeping his family on the plan exceeded $600
per month, and was more than they could continue
to pay. After consulting with HSA
for America, Billy remained
on his company-provided plan, and switched
his wife and three children to an Anthem HSA
100% plan with a $2,500 deductible.
This lowered his premium to just $283.10 per
month, saving him over $317 every month.
He
is using part of that savings to fully fund
his HSA account with $2,500 each year, in
effect giving his family zero-deductible 100%
coverage, which is still costing him less
than his previous plan. The HSA contribution
is also saving him an additional $700 from
his income taxes each year.
So
his total savings are $3,804 per year in premiums,
and $700 per year in taxes, amounting to an
additional $4,500 in his pocket each year.
Now if any family members do have medical
bills, the Wright's can simply pay those bills
with dollars set aside in their HSA, money
on which they paid no income taxes.
Since the Wrights say they never spend that
much on medical cost during most years, any
money left in the account will remain theirs,
building for their retirement instead of winding
up in the bank account of another insurance
company.

Picking
the right health insurance plan can be a big financial decision.
You want to deal with someone who can help you can help you
assess your needs and choose the plan that makes the most
sense for you, who can clearly explain what you're getting,
and can make the process easy and hassle-free without sales
pressure or obligation. You also need to have a real

We

Our objective is to help you make the right decision for your
needs, and to earn a customer for life. These comments
are typical of what we receive:
"The
personalized service Ive received has been
excellent: responsive, informative, clear, and helpful."
"There
are many things that really set you apart from other
insurance consultants. These include your
communication ability, both written and spoken,
and your non-manipulative approach to providing
useful information.
Quality
customer service is all but gone in today's automated
and formulaic "service" economy.
It is nearly non-existent in the insurance industry.
But the personalized service I've received has been
excellent: responsive, informative, clear, and helpful.
I
have told a lot of my friends about you. I
have never recommended an insurance consultant before
but I told people just because it was such a pleasurable
positive experience. Their question is: "What
other states can you provide service to?"

"Its
always nice to be the recipient of great service!"
"Hello
again, Fred. It's always nice to be the recipient
of great service, so providing this feedback is
easy!
We
chose to do business with HSA
for America because you provided a clear,
concise and user-friendly web site. Since
we had no experience with an HDHP, nor an HSA, we
were in need of a business that had the skill to
know our needs and the expertise to educate us about
the choices available to us.
We
have had a very positive experience with your company
to date. Customer service, which came in the
name of "Fred Adams" was outstanding.
Your responses to my many questions were both prompt
and thorough. I believe you had a genuine
interest in helping us obtain all information necessary
to make an informed decision.
I
appreciated the use of email and fax -- and the
fact that both email/fax were personally responded
to either instantly or within a few hours.
A real person (Fred) was on the other end of the
line/email and we didn't get the "canned"
response sometimes sent by other companies. (Well,
some emails were canned...but never in response
to any of my direct questions). And, in truth,
even the canned emails were useful in providing
information.
We
have recommended you to others (good news for retirees
in our similar situation), and will continue to
recommend you in the future.
Now,
will you please develop sister businesses that similarly
educate customers by providing clear information
in a timely manner facilitated by professional employees.
Thanks
for everything!"

Get
The Information You Need To Make An Informed Decision
Most
financial advisors charge $1,000 or more each year
in fees and commissions to help their clients avoid taxes
and build their retirement accounts. Yet very few have
a complete understanding of one of the most valuable financial
planning tools available - a health savings account.
In fact, because they don't get paid to manage these "self-managed"
accounts, most advisors don't even deal with health savings
accounts.
When
you schedule an appointment with HSA
for America, you get to speak to the nation's
leading experts on HSAs. You will have all your questions
answered by your friendly Personal Advisor, you will have
confidence in the decision you make, and you will have a plan
for how you will invest in and use your HSA. A meeting
with us will save you time and money.
The
retail value of this consultation is $195. Most of our
customers save at least five times that by getting
their coverage with us. However, because of differing
regulations in every state we do business in, we have chosen
to offer our consultation service for free. A
consultation includes any follow-up conversations that are
necessary in order to get your coverage issued as quickly
as possible, and in the most favorable way to you. You
also have direct access to your Personal Advisor for the lifetime
of your policy.
Yes,
there is a catch. We are a very small firm, and place
a priority on making sure our customers are well-informed
and taken care of. This takes a lot of time, yet also
creates a high demand for our services. We only have
a very limited number of personal consultation times
available each week, so we are often booked a week (or more)
in advance. Because we have a high number of consultation
requests each week, we must limit our meetings to only those
people we feel we can help. If health conditions exist
which will prevent us from offering coverage, we will regretfully
have to cancel the appointment.
We
have two additional requests for anyone who requests an appointment:
- Before
the appointment, please review your instant
quotes so you have a feel for what plans are available
-
If you have any general questions about HSAs, please review
our HSA Information
page and our Q and A page,
where you will find answers to most questions. We
also highly recommend that you request a copy of our free
report, The
Complete Consumers Guide to HSAs.
This will allow us to make the most of our time together.
There
are no other obligations on your part. However, because
we have so few time slots available, please call only
if you are serious and ready to make a decision.
If you are just in the shopping mode and have
some questions, please email us instead and we will be happy
to help.
Request
A Consultation Now
To
request a consultation, fill out our online Consultation
Request form or call our office at 866-749-2039.
When you call to schedule an appointment, the receptionist
will ask you a series of questions to qualify the appointment.
Once we receive this information, we will review it and send
an email confirming the appointment. Because we have
a high number of consultation requests each week, we must
limit our meetings to only those people we feel we can help.
If health conditions exist which will prevent us from offering
coverage, we will regretfully have to cancel the appointment.

You
will learn how an HSA would work for you, how much money you
would save on premiums and taxes, and the potential future
value of your HSA account when you reach retirement.
We will run quotes to look at the plans available in your
area, and let you know the pros and cons of the plans that
look best. Youll then be able to make a confident
decision about which plan would work best for you.
We
will call you promptly at the scheduled time, at the phone
number you provide.
