I started in the Insurance business in 1993, marketing life insurance directly to individuals and small businesses over the phone. Over the next ten years, I built an agency that also provided Auto, Home and Commercial Insurance to our clients. My son and I helped thousands of families and small business owners with their insurance needs. I turned my agency over to my son in 2003. My focus turned to Health Insurance and Living Trusts. As a result, my clients have been well protected against serious financial loss.
My greatest satisfaction
is my 42 years married to my wife, Flo. My son, Erich, was born while I was
stationed in Germany and my daughter, Tamara, born at the Air Force
Academy, is now a Veterinary Tech. My three grandsons keep us busy and
young.
I grew
up in Ohio, learning solid values that I practice to this day. Music
has been my passion since I was in school. Following in my father’s
footsteps, I worked in a factory first. Needing to advance, I attended
Wright State University before joining the U.S.Air Force. I served as
a Combat Photographer in Southeast Asia and as the photographer for Tuskegee
Airman General “Chappie” James at NORAD, Cheyenne Mountain.
For the second half of my Air Force career, I served as a Nurse Recruiter
and Officer Recruiter. In 1983, our Springfield, Ohio office was the best
U.S.Air Force Recruiting office in the nation.
When
I retired from the Air Force, we moved to Colorado and started a retail
kiosk operation. Flo’s career focused on Human Resources with
Kmart. After years of successful careers, our passion to serve others
led us to insurance, helping our son with his career and raising a grandson.
Along with being professional grandparents, I am active in our church with
an emphasis on Crown Financial Ministries and Flo excels at visitation and
hospitality.
Today,
I am focused on helping families make the right decisions to protect their
physical and financial health. Introduction of Health Savings Accounts
has created a tremendous opportunity for individuals and businesses to lower
the cost of their health care, receive a generous tax break, and save money
for future medical expenses. By introducing market competition into
the medical marketplace, HSAs will force doctors and hospitals to begin posting
their prices and competing for their customers’ business. As anyone
with a basic understanding of economics can tell you, competition leads to
lower prices and higher quality for all.
Too
often, government programs encourage dependence and discourage personal responsibility.
Health savings accounts reward people for saving for their future, and further
reward them for taking care of their health. The person that puts aside
money in their HSA and then doesn’t use it will be rewarded with tax
deductions, tax-deferred growth and a savings account that can be used to
pay medical expenses during retirement. I am a big believer that individuals
should take greater responsibility for their future, instead of relying on
the government “nanny” to take care of them.
I
believe that HSAs are the best thing to happen to healthcare in a long time.
They save people money, encourage responsible behavior, and force the
medical providers to compete for our business. Our mission is
to find our clients the best plans that meet their needs, at the lowest premiums
available, and to make the process easy. By helping you save money and
have peace of mind, we expect to continue to earn your business for life.
