Leading HSA Practices For Financial Institutions and Insurers
BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE:BE), a leading global management and technology consulting firm, has conducted research relating to the growth of Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Based on its research, BearingPoint will present estimates of the number of HSA, HRA and FSA accounts as well as gross revenues that these accounts have contributed to the financial industry. The report will highlight the new opportunities as well as leading practices for financial services and insurance industries, individually and in cooperation, in the rapidly growing Consumer-Directed Healthcare marketplace.
“We are extremely pleased to have BearingPoint present the findings of this paper at the 2007 CDHC Expo,” said Jonathan Weiner, president of Prepaid Media. “While consumer directed healthcare may be revolutionizing the healthcare industry, the greatest impact to this revolution is in healthcare payments and the increasing use of card products in Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) applications.”
“As companies deploy consumer-driven health care programs and consumers and employees increasingly select these types of programs to meet their health care insurance needs, it is critical for financial services firms to understand the trends, technologies, benefits, and potential pitfalls affecting and driving this dynamic emerging market,” said Jim Dean, a senior manager at BearingPoint. “As the largest industry conference focused on the convergence of healthcare and financial services as well as employer solutions, we felt the 2007 CDHC Expo in Las Vegas was the ideal forum to present our research findings.”
